Waterproof Battery Charger
The LEAB ChAmp is a very small, compact batterycharger intended for Lead Acid and Gel Batteries. The batteries are charged with IUoU charging characteristic. This means with full effect until the battery is full. After that the charger automatically changes over maintenance charging (float charging). The batteries will be fully charged without any risk of overcharging.
The encapsulation, the volume, the shock resistance and the efficiency makes the LEAB ChAmps perfect for a multitude of tough tasks. They are as suited to charge batteries for cyclical work as they are to do maintenance charging of starter batteries. They can handle difficult working environments both as free standing and as onboard chargers. The batteries are safely, efficiently and economically charged.
The LEAB ChAmp electronic circuits are encapsulated in epoxy fully waterproof protection class IP65. It can withstand water spray and even to be fully submerged in water. It is not necessary to protect the chargers for rain or water spray. They can be installed in very tough and demanding environments and still do their job.
Since all LEAB ChAmps are fully encapsulated they are also very vibration resistant as well as shockproof. Not even the heavier components can come loose from vibrations. Thus they are well suited as "on-board" chargers in vehicles also used on uneven grounds.
Regardless if the input voltage decreases down as far as 180 V or the frequency varies between 40 and 60 Hz the LEAB ChAmp chargers with correct charging voltage and with full effect. The result is a safe, efficient (85%) and soundless charging.
Like all primary switch mode batterychargers the LEAB ChAmps are small and compact. The low volume also makes them very easy to position.
